Write Up:
This was a hike at its fullest! The Trail warmed us up as we took Sosebee Valley, which later took us into Wolf Creek Road where the climbing began. After several Knobs and some switchbacks we reached Calf Stomp Gap. When we were done with the sandwiches - normally we would've been heading back to Vogel Park, instead we decided to take on the assault to Coosa! This gave our hike a solid D-5 instead of the original proposed D-4 with commanding views of Blood and Slaughter Mountains. Our congratulations goes out to Virginia F and Leah Smith on their first D-5 , originally these folks did not sign up for this leveI. I knew you could do it ( all of you)! Oh.... the Round About is finally finished at State Road 60 & 19 that splits to Woody Gap. Christa and Randall are showing some good hiking skills, also a shout out to Mary Reed - she made the previous night hike and the next morning she nailed a D-5 with us!
