Write Up:
With great spring-like weather and terrific trail conditions, we had a full complement of 15 riders, including about 8 first or 2nd timers to AOC and several new to mountain biking.  We began with a quick bike check and reviewed a few essential riding skills (Remember: 1. Ready position/off your butts, 2) Shifting back then forward to get over obstacles, 3. Keep the gears and the seats low).

We began with about 5 miles of beginner trails.   The group was doing so well, and with Bobby sweeping, that we tried some more interesting trails.  Everyone seemed to enjoy our short "hashing" run, even the trail that had partially fallen into the creek (hey, it was there the last time).    Our beginners showed great stamina and improved immensely, with several making the most of their hybrids!  A smaller group then continued another 5 miles of intermediate riding, for 10 overall.    I hope we won over some new AOCers as well as newcomers  to mountain biking!
