Perfect weather for the hike, framed by fog and light rain both on the drive up and back. How lucky is that! Except for a lone jogger, we had the trail to ourselves. Countless little streams trickling or gurgling into the valley. We came across three fairy rings, one of which was a perfect and complete circle of mushrooms. Fortunately, none of us ventured into the circle. We completed the hike in 5.5 hours and then drove to the Albert Mountain fire tower for a look at the world. Dinner in Clayton provided a satisfying ending to a lovely day.
