This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

Let's go explore Morningside Nature Preserve. The preserve covers about 33 acres of woods and is bisected by the South Fork Peachtree Creek. There are about 2 miles of trails in the preserve, so we may be doing the loop, or parts of it, twice. We also may walk through the surrounding neighborhood a little bit.

The trails will be rooty and rocky in places, and there will be some hills. Our pace will be a bit faster than moderate when moving, with occasional stops for water and to look at the dog beach and to figure out where to go.

This is an exploratory hike. The distance and time listed here are estimates.

Please note that there are different parking areas for the preserve. We will be meeting at the entrance on Wellbourne Dr NE, so make sure you are going to the right place. We will not be meeting at the Lenox Rd trailhead.

There are no bathrooms available.
