Itinerary:

This another in the Summit Sunset Series where we will enjoy sunsets from some of the finest scenic viewpoints in GA...all on or near mountain peaks.  If you've never had this experience, you don't know what you're missing, so time to find out...

We are returning to Mount Yonah for this hike and will also be visiting neighboring Pink Mountain.   There is a trail that goes long the ridge between the two mtns.  Pink Mtn is being developed on the top so we will end up on a paved road up there but can still walk the short distance to the summit at that point.

Back to the Yonah trail, we will check out "The Boulder" and take a side trip to climbing wall if the rock isn't wet.   We will enjoy some different overlooks, and then head to the summt, a peaceful clearing surrounded by a ring of trees.   Then we head to a rock outcropping to watch the sunset.   We'll start hiking down within about 15 min after the sunset, and it shouldn't take us more than about 45 min to get back to the cars and head home.  (Bring a headlamp or flashlight for the hike down)

Total distance should be about 7 miles...total ascent about 2000 feet.
