The temperatures went from a frigid 14 degrees to a balmy 19 degrees by hike's end - - but we were in a "wind shadow" the entire hike (term supplied by Mikey), so we were comfortably toasty after an uphill warmup. It was a glorious hike . . . bright and sunny! Everyone had layers, gloves and caps, so we were well prepared for the elements. ~ Joyce T.
