Hats off  to our numerous AOCers who "gave back to the Chattahoochee" by participating in this big cleanup that in fact was lots of fun!  The weather was perfect for it and our Chattahoochee Riverkeeper and CRNRA hosts did a bangup job coordinating everything.  Our various paddling and walking teams removed thousands of pounds of refuse from the river and its islands and riverbanks.  Those of us who focused on the Powers Island to Paces Mill river section in NW Atlanta enjoyed stops at beautiful places along the river.  It was also a pleasure getting to know our friendly hosts and other volunteers from the public at large.
