Today was special, because it was Smitha's 100th AOC event! Congratulations, Smitha! The morning overcase skies gave way to bright sunlight, and the winds decreased tremendously from the early morning 25 mph gusts. We took the hike at a very moderate pace, enjoying conversation and an abundance of beautiful scenery. Seven of us gathered for lunch at the nearby Metro Cafe Diner, where there was a wide menu selection to satisfy our yen for spaghetti, a hamburger, and and an assortment of omelets. We shared a luscious piece of coconut cake before parting for home.  ~  Joyce
