Write Up:

A great group of 9 AOC members headed out Friday knowing there was a 100% of rain Saturday morning.  After some BBQ in Cashiers, NC camp was setup and smore were made over a fire while drinking various beverages.  That night it rained and in the morning breaking camp down was a little wet though aided with a tarp.  Once the hike began, the rain stopped!  Over the next 8 miles, 4 waterfalls & several water crossings we made it to camp all while staying dry (less a few wet feet from testing 6" streams with 5" boots.  After dinner and drink it was time for an early bed only to be awaken early in the morning by more rain.  Sunday morning the rain passed and the sky turned blue.  Hiking out another 6 miles with another 3 waterfalls & 1 breathtaking view (literally) we returned back to the cars.  Mexican food and pitchers of cold drink were consumed before returning to Atlanta.

In all a great trip.  While a lot of tents are wet, everone was pleasently surprised by having great weather to backpack in.
