What a perfect day of whitewater rafting with a wonderful group of AOC members at the Ocoee Adventure Center! We had plenty of sunshine and especially high water, making the rapids really rapid, and the excitement exhilarating.

Only 5 of us got thrown into the river (Dave P., Jim G., Denise M., Elaine W., and I ) - - but we were wet anyway, and suffered no real damage. We all had to be fished out of the water by big guys in the safety raft, but it made for a lot of talk over dinner. (Actually, Joe saved Elaine by pulling her into the raft before she floated downstream; the rest of us weren't so easily rescued!)

I was so happy with the entire day. Everyone showed up at the carpool on time, we drove to the Adventure Center in good time, and the folks who met us at the center all arrived on schedule. The group listened to John G. give safety instructions, and performed admirably in their rafts. I think the AOC group made an excellent impression on the facility.

I hope Thomas W. has as successful an adventure on June 21st, when he takes another AOC group on an Ocoee Adventure Center rafting event. ~ Joyce
