Our group of 4 enjoyed a nice middle of the week hike on this popular trail.   We came across a number of hikers heading to the AT on the first half of the loop and more on their way to the Hike Inn on the second half. The air was still early in the hike, making it warm but not too bad by Georgia standards.  We had a refreshing breeze on the return.  The Hike Inn seems to have more snack offerings lately. Our group connoisseur tried one - some sort of blueberry cream cheese creation - and reports it was delicious.
