What a difference a couple of months and a dam release make to a river.  When we explored this river a couple of months ago, before the dam release, there was very little water.  We had to leave our boats at the opening of the pathway to the waterfall and walk to get there.  Today was a beautiful day on the water.  We paddled to the beautiful waterfall, and then, continued on to paddle to Lake Allatoona. We stopped to have a snack and discovered a turtle in distress.  He was on his side (no kidding!), and Becky noticed that we may have moved him out of a beautiful yoga position.  Luke gave him part of his apple and water, and Thomas and Seemo righted the turtle.  Who knew moving a box turtle was a two man job?!  (Asks my wife.)  We will definitely be exploring this lake again, and hope you can come out to join us next time.
