One of the best adventures ever created for AOC members was today's boat, leap, swim and hike event at Jocasse Lake at Devil's Fork State Park in South Carolina. We took Brooks Wade's pontoon boat and traveled to four rivers - - Thompson, Horsepasture, Whitewater, & Toxaway - - to enjoy swimming in the pristine waters, jumping off high cliffs, and hiking up slippery rocks to view waterfalls and water pools. By the end of the day, folks were a bit scraped up and bruised, tired and hungry, but everyone agreed that it was a spectacular six hours of fun that we would all love to do again. Dinner at the Spotted Pig provided a delicious repast to put a cap on the fun-filled day.  ~  Joyce (with permmission from Beth)
