Write Up:
We had a very windy, but beautiful day for the Rescheduled Gahuti Trail and More hike. With a group of adventurous hikers, we explored Fort Mountain State Park including the entire Gahuti trail and added two additional excursions. We were rewarded with scenery including beautiful waterfalls (big and small), colorful fall overlooks, the long climbing stone wall, renovated fire tower and the lake that (one day) begs to be swam. The wind blew so hard the trees creaked with song and leaves russeled so loudly we had to stop to hear our fellow hikers. It was a magnificent day. Although originally ranked as a D4, this exposition has been justly changed to a D5. Thank you all for coming out to hike with us and for your patience (and assistance) as we explored this new territory. Hope we hike together again soon! ~Trish
