We almost cancelled today's hike because of the heavy rain last night that persisted into this morning; however, several folks said they'd hike rain or not, so we kept the hike active - - and it paid off. The trails were wet, and we caught one five-minute period of light drizzle, but no rain to speak of. And as the hike continued, the weather improved even more. We took a new route through DaveO's neighborhood before returning to the park to continue the hike. We were rewarded by a beautiful view of one of the lakes and a small herd of 5 deer that crossed the road close to us. ~ Joyce
