We had two brand new members (Janna and Bunny) and a couple of people new to us (Bart and Sharon), but despite the "healthy" pace Erica set, the group stayed together beautifully. We encountered a striking deer, some fallen trees, and a good supply of mud on the trails, but no one slipped or fell, and no one complained. That makes for a successful hike! We didn't quite make the 8 miles planned (muddy trails require some slowing down), but we didn't fall too far short. And Janet's Fannie May candy topped off the hike in yumminess! ~ Joyce
