We had too much fun today and went over the six miles promised and made it a 6.75 mile hike.  It was a nice morning and no one seemed to mind too much.  We also took a slight detour to connect the nearby intersection so everyone would have a better understanding of the layout of the park. Between the blooming Mountain Laurel along the streams and the dense forest of leaf cover we stayed comfortably cool most of the morning.  Thank you all for coming out to hike.  It was great to see our familiar group gathered together again. - Trish
