Susan Caster's presentation recounting her 5-month solo hike on the Pacific Rim Trail in 2014 was inspiring.  Her PowerPoint slides vouched for her enjoyment of the trail . . . not just covering miles, but living in the moment to view and photograph critters, flowers, landscapes, sunrises, sunsets, and lakes (which she swam in at every opportunity).  What made her venture especially inspiring is that it followed a year-long fight against cancer.  She has more adventures planned, so hopefully we'll hear again from Susan in the future.  

Ann won the $50 gift certificate from Eddie Bauer, and everyone went home with a goodie-bag from the store.  An extra 15% off the sales prices of items made for a great shopping experience following Susan's talk.  ~  Joyce
