This was truly a beautiful day to be out on the trail...sunny skies and the fall foliage at its peak for the season. We started out at Lower Laurel trailhead and took a long loop around and then up the ridge to the Indian Seats, where we enjoyed the views of the mountains to the North. After a nice break, we then headed back down, only to go back up on a steeper trail for the best workout of the day. After resting, we headed down to check out the mysterious treehouse and also found a small snake on the trail. At the visitor's center we came across a much larger snake sunning itself as well as a fierce creature that they had caged up in the back (see pics). We did some more hiking and just enjoyed the mild temperatures and good conversation along the trail...you can't beat this time of year to enjoy the great outdoors.
