The late evening hike at Big Trees was excellent. We had a great group of hikers for this event including newcomers: Tiffany, Jessica, Tammy, and Caroline. Welcome to the AOC! The rain stopped just in time for our hike. With an end to the rain, our group of 20 hiked 3.5 miles in about an hour. While we moved at a steady pace, we still  took the time to enjoy the overlook, views of the creek from the bridges, rocks along the creek and some of the most beautiful "Big Trees" at the forest preserve. Thanks again everyone who attended for making this a wonderful hike! I hope to hike with everyone again soon as well as meet more newcomers!
