We got off to a prompt start with a good group of hikers. Unfortunately there wasn't much of a view from Indian Seats observation deck due to cloud cover and morning mists, but the temperature and wind was quite nice. A few members had been on the Indian Seats Trail before, but only Ralph had been on the newer Mountainside Trail loop. Everyone was surprised by how nice the new trails are and by the elevation gain. The hike totaled 8.9 miles with a little over 1500 feet of elevation gain, just qualifying it as a D4. When we picked John up he was just fine, and even sang a greeting to Ann.
