Write Up:

A small group today, but a very friendly one. It's always nice to hear folks conversing and laughing as we make our way around the trails. We enjoyed watching Kyle's dog, Cap, romp and play with other dogs at the beach. We spotted Craig S. there as well! 

Some of our "sightings" included a couple of herons, a bamboo-forest spider, a floating fisherman, and a few ducks. A passerby alerted us to a copperhead on the trail near the ruins, but there was no sign of it when we got there. I had my camera ready! Janet found a penny on the trail and recited the long version of the penny-poem for us. (It's captioned below photo below.)

East Palisades continues to be a favorite hiking location for our members because it has so much to offer.  ~  Joyce
