The hike at Island Ford was the perfect hike to start the day! A group of 18 hikers including brand new members Pennie and Rachelle hiked 3 miles in 1 hour. Great job everyone and Welcome to the AOC newcomers! The weather was perfect for this event as well as the views along the trail. Elvira and Clay saw a deer on the way to the trail,  and were able to get a picture. Additionally, we enjoyed some nice views of the Chattahoochee River and sun while hiking. Also congrtats to Adrienne who has completed several hikes in preperation for her Everest hike in the winter. Great job everyone and thanks again hikers for an excellent hike!
