Today's hike was really pleasant. We covered 5 miles, going to the Cochran Shoals cemetery and back, with two passes around Sibley Pond. We welcomed both a brand new member (George) and a nearly new member (Iris), both of whom had no trouble handling the trail. Adrienne brought along an oxygen deprivation mask to help her get accustomed to altitude hiking at Mt. Everest, but found that hiking on hills at a healthy pace was deprivation enough! Trena treated the group to popsicles after the hike . . . a most welcomed treat! ~ Joyce
