So nice to have Trena back after her December crunch at work! We took a rather unique route through the Waller Extension, the ball park, along the Oxbo Tail to the Grimes Road entrance to Vickery Creek, out through a neighborhood to the official Vickery Creek entrance, by the dam, over the covered bridge, and finally across Sloan Street to the asphalt path back to the parking lot. We got in just shy of 5 miles without a drop of rain, hiking at a very modest pace - - perfect for the damp, rain-drenched trails. It was my favorite hike of the year!  :-)
A group of us decided to gather after the hike at Spiced Right for a very tasty barbeque lunch! ~ Joyce
