Flexibility was the key today! A fire at East Palisades forced our group to devise an alternate plan for hiking today, so we headed to Cochran Shoals (Interstate North), just a couple of miles away for a hike. It was a new hiking area for many, especially the route we took which involved about 30 minutes of bushwhacking through the woods and past some new construction in the Wildwood Office Park area. There were no complaints from the group; in fact, we all really enjoyed the adventure. It wasn't the hike we planned, but it was certainly an excellent substitute!  Happy New Year's Eve, everyone! ~ Joyce
