Thank goodness for cloud cover as it helped keep our hike in a more comfortable zone.  The humidity was way up as were the needs for us to remain hydrated! We traversed the trails of East Palisades and somehow, Joyce managed to find another trail not yet traveled by many of us.  Several hikers were new to this hike which made the bamboo forest very special indeed!  I always love to see and hear the reactions of folks that are seeing it for the first time.  And what would East Palisades be without the BAH!!  Yeap, we covered that as well as every other long hill there was to cover:)  Great bunch of hikers this morning - thanks to you all for joining us:)  ~ Carol
