What a great day for a hike. The weather held out for us and the temps were not too bad either.   

We did something a little different from most hikes we take at Gold Branch.  Instead of doing the perimeter of the park, we crisscrossed back and forth over the ridge line 4 times.  Great eyes Doug in spotting our little slithering friend down by the river.  We did make an usual stop by the junked car which was a great place to take a water break. Overall, we covered 4.5 miles in 2 hours. 

It was also great to welcome Janis to her very first AOC event.  We look forward to seeing you on future AOC hikes.
