Five hikers enjoyed the Palisades "Great Circle Route" Hike - Circumnavigation of west palisades and east palisades - 7.5 miles in 4 hours. We saw Long Island Shoals, Akers Dr, Akers Mill Food Mart, Powers Ferry rd bridge over the chattahoochee, rays on the river, Rock bluff overlook, bamboo forest, Popi's Point, The Beach, the rocks under I-75, the I-75 / Cobb parkway connector trail, and the new 2013 cobb parkway bridge over the chattahoochee.  Also turtles, birds, and a snake.
