Write Up:

Today was the tale of the three H's!! HEAT, HUMIDITY AND HILLS! Why is it that some folks appear to find all the uphills😊? Temps were in the low 80's with humidity in the 60 to 70% range so the fluids were a definite necessity today. There were a lot of newbies to Gold Branch which called for a visit to the car ruins. We than made our way around Bull Sluice Lake where we found the water levels to be quite low. That certainly was no deterrent to those out on the water paddling - something I started envying around mile 5! So through the woods and up the hills seemed to be a good part of today's theme - we definitely got some good elevation in today. Appreciate all of you who came out and joined us. ~ Carol
