Seventeen of us hiked at Leita for a very humid hike. Our navigation devices read anywhere from 5.4 (mine, it’s always low) to 6.5 (Larry’s, it’s always high) miles.  So I’ll call it a D2 1/2. We got strung out along the path as we regrouped to chat.  Good thing we all excel at walking and talking at the same time.  Joe was trying out a new backpack; and at least two people were trying out new shoes, all from REI, of course.  Six of us met at Fickle Pickle for lunch outside under the tent.  We dodged the rain except for while we were eating.  I think we are all headed home for naps now.  A great day.  Thanks Trish.  ~Linda
