Oh my! Bush whacking and waterfalls -- two great things that go together on a nice July day. The many falls we experienced on this hike -- both those of the water variety and those of the human variety. I think almost all of us fell at least once on the off-trail. But the reward was worth the challenge (drop-off hills, creek crossings, crawling through rhododendron vines in almost impassable terrain). With four waterfalls in all, other nice water features, and a good old fashioned cold swim, the day couldn't have been better ... and we just missed the bad weather as a thunderbolt sounded the moment we arrived back at our cars. I don't know about you, but I definitely want to go back and see the 5th waterfall that we didn't have time to see.
