It was great to welcome several new people to the weekly Leita Thompson hike - we hope they will hike with us again! We had a warm morning for the briskly paced 6 mile hike. Even the high humidity didn't keep us from hiking the 'back hills' of Leita where we enjoyed seeing a young deer wondering behind one of the abandoned houses. I think the highlight of the hike was 'Young Jeff' taking a turn on the swing (where does he get all that energy?).  We all wished Steve a safe trip to Cuba before enjoying a new pita restaurant for the Tuesday 'lunch special.'
