Hi everyone. Thanks for joining me for that wonderful weekend. Other than a bit colder than predicted at night, we could not have hoped for better weather this time of year in the mountains. The frozen waterfall, rivers and creeks, made this a unique trip for me in Panthertown Valley. It was a lot more beautiful than I expected. I love those types of surprises. Walking up little green creek trail, and sitting on top of the cliffs near the summit of Cold Mountain, and walking the ridge along Devil's Elbow are very special for me, and I was very glad our group seemed to enjoy all of it as well. Getting a good workout, was just a side benefit. Congratulations to Sunnie, for enjoying her first backpacking trip with AOC, and doing very well. And I'm glad Kimberly got to enjoy the mountains with us, without any allergic reactions to attacking insects. I was amazed at how fun that game was passing around when I walked up to the fire at night. I was also amazed at how knowledgeable some of you were, especially Jesse. The moon glow over the forest and river, the merry laughter, all seem somewhat surreal while I sit beside my computer in the city. Thanks for joining me. I look forward to seeing each of you on future adventures. I already received excellent pictures from Lucy and Anton. If anyone else has some pictures they would like to share, I'll send out everyone's links soon. I haven't even downloaded my photo's yet, so I'll do that soon.
