Beautiful day at Stone Mountain - yellow daisies all over the mountain as well as the Cherokee Trail. Wonderful group of hikers - Ken provided me with magic jelly beans (for energy).  Ken also had a big cooler full of ice cold water for us all at the end of the hike - thanks Ken.  Ran a bit late on the hike and we missed the Carillon (will post Stone Mountain again in November and plan better).  Total of 12+ miles today - up the mountain and down, Cherokee trail, Indian Island trail, Songbird trail, conference center trail and trail of the Muscogee.  Thanks Jane for her knowledge of plants/trees/flowers along the trail - she knew names of many speicies and I was very impressed and i just know them as "plants" "trees" "flowers" .  Kate is amazing - after our long exhausting hike she went on 18 mile bike ride with Tom J.  GO KATE!!!!
