Trail report: Burn areas are starting to regrow vegatation, though the rhododendrons are gray and withered and brittle. They might be starting to regrow from the roots. We did have to climb over, under or around some recent blowdowns. (Thanks, Irma).

Wildlife: We scared off 3 wild hogs as they were grazing near the trail. This was the first time I had ever seen the feral pigs and they were HUGE!
