The weather couldn't have been more perfect for a walk on the Beltline, and with such wonderful company as newish member Russell.

Though new to the AOC and the Beltline, Russell is a veteran to hiking (and at being a trip leader for a previous outdoor club.) Since it was just the two of us, we had a good, lively conversation going about the pros and cons of being a trip leader, the outdoors, and the old and new landscape surrounding the Beltline. Afterwards, we enjoyed a nice meal at Krog Street Market.

PS: The Beltline extension (from Irwin Street to Dekalb Avenue) is finally open, so we also walked that length, making our 4 mile walk into 4.5 miles.
