Our group braved the cold, overcast and damp weather to catch the last of the gorgeous Japanese Maples in their brilliant fall color at Gibbs Gardens. We were lucky enough to do so, and also enjoyed exploring some of the other areas of the Gardens, including the Manor House, Lily Ponds and Monet Bridge. We only actually got rained on once, for about five minutes, so it was definitely worth the trip!

After taking our time taking with the fall colors, we decided to find somewhere indoors to eat and set out for downtown Ball Ground, GA. There we had a great lunch at the Burger Bus, an actual converted bus-turned-restaurant.

Everyone enjoyed exploring the gardens and are excited to return next spring when the daffodils are blooming. I'm sharing my photos of the Japanese Maples in the attached album for those who are interested!
