What a great way to kick off 2018 with a hike at Gold Branch.  It was a bit cool this morning (windchill was 8 degrees at the start of our hike) but our hearty group was well prepared.  Once we finished the first climb, several of us were shedding layers.  We spent more time criss crossing the ridge line rather than staying along the river which helped keep us warm.  

A special welcome to Angela who was on only her second hike with the AOC.  We look forward to seeing you on future hikes.
