Great hike today at one of the CRNRA's lesser known units, Powers Island.  We passed various ruins along our hike including seeing the remains of a damed pond which seems to have disappeared.  The trip over to the island itself was interesting itself with its "rustic" trails as we circled the Island.  A great way to spend a Wednesday morning.  

Holt
