Write Up:Starting our event we had 13 super hikers, including 3 couples. The weather was quite
cold with temps 25 to 35 degrees through out the day. Trail conditions were very good
with a soft trail with little or no rocks. We could also see a lot of blow down from the
remnants of Hurricane Irma. Our hike began with Jack's Gap Trail starting with some
steep elevations as we pushed on for Chattahoochee Gap with success! Once we
reached the Gap, we had a chance to explore the headwaters of the Chattahoohee.
After photos and STEVE T making one single step across the Hooch just to say he did it
(this will make great conversation), we got back to the trail and headed for our halfway
point for lunch at Poplar Stomp. While at our sit down for lunch we had a picture perfect
view of Yonah to the north! We then turned around and headed back to the cars. Oh by
the way, I did find my remains of a cookie bag in my house. Guess who is not watching
the Puppy Bowl on Sunday 🐶 Chuck R.
