Write Up:
It turned out to be a satisfying start to the Chatt NRA series....we had beautful weather, which is always one of the most important components for a great hike, the usual fun AOC group, and some lovely river views throughout the day.   The group turned out to be a very strong one and didn't have much problem with the steep creekbanks...just scampering up and down them, walking across narrow logs (see pics) and keeping up a fairly good pace to top it off.   We stopped for lunch on a rocky outcropping by the river and ended up doing about 7 miles total in just over 3 hrs...so a good workout was had as well as the fun of the the trail and good company.
