What a beautiful morning for a hike at East Palisades.  We had 10 hearty souls to tackle the hills of this CRNRA park.  We visited all the usual places including the Bamboo Forest, the homestead foundation, the Native American Indian Cave and the dog beach (which was underwater this morning due to the high river levels).  The scenery was beautiful and it was nice to see the landscape before all the leaves pop out.  

We had two people with us today who were brand new to the AOC (Mary and Sharon) and we were glad to have you along on our 5 mile, 2 hour hike.  Welcome to you both.  ~ Holt
