Our string of Friday hikes with fantastic weather continued for yet another week.  Today we did the White Tail and Homestead trails at Red Top Mountain State Park.  The out and back on the White Tail trail was a good warm up and provided us with a beautiful view of Lake Allatoona from the end of a peninsula.  Then we tackled the Homestead loop.  Along the way we visited the remains of a chimney from a long gone settlers cabin.  The trail has definitely "greened" up in the past few weeks and the views of the lake as we moved around the loop were much appreciated.

We had a brand new member of the AOC, Jackie, on the hike with us today.  Welcome Jackie and we all look forward to seeing you on future AOC events.  ~ Holt
