This was one crazy hike!  We did do some climbing - close to 800 feet of elevation in the 4.5 miles that we did!  Gold Branch is one of those deceiving hikes where the terrain can get pretty nasty so we made sure everyone was safe - but, once we passed the tough spots, we apparently went at a pretty good clip.  We got fairly lucky - didn't get rained on during the hike.  But as soon as we got to the trailhead, it started pouring!!!  So, I think we all got pretty wet anyway.  Thanks to all of you for coming and helping along:).
