Write Up:
This hike gave us 15 stellar attendees with another day of good weather. The forest had a calm surreal feel to it, encompassed with the low fog . (Void of a breeze but tolerable)The damp trail made it a soft trek on the feet. We started at the East Ridge Trail optional stairs -several hikers jump on that! ( Ron, MaryK & MB). Bypassing Amicalola Mountain from our west and over Frosty, we soon came upon our junction to the Inn. ( I can already smell the bacon in the air.) Later we all took lunch at the Inn with lots of talk and laughter. I'm still adjusting to the narrowing of the trails from the encroachment of floral. We have to to keep a sharp eye on the trail! Thanks to a strong turnout and a great support of drivers, we all had another great day on the trail! Sent from my iPad
