What a great day for a hike at Sope Creek.  We have nearly a full house with 19 hikers for our 1.5 hour, 4 mile hike.  We headed down towards (but not all the way to) the mill ruins before making our way down to Sope Creek a little downstream of the ruins themselves.  Then we criss crossed the Sope Creek unit throwing in a hill or two for good measure.  Then we traveled near the western border of the park adjacent to the Sibley Forest pool and tennis courts before heading back to walk along Sibley Pond and back to the cars.  

We had three newer members on todays hike.  Kelly was on her 6th AOC event.  And Whitney and LuAnn were on their very first AOC event.  It was a pleasure to have them all with us today and we look to see each of you on future AOC events. ~  Holt
