Well, it truly is Fall! You wouldn't know it from the temperature that crept up toward 90 degrees, but the proof was in the hike itself. "Fall" is what three of our members did today! I think it's a record for our Thursday morning hikes. Fortunately, none of the three were hurt badly, but I hate to have any accidents, bit or little.
The thrill for the day was spotting the Leucistic Red-Tailed Hawk on a branch above our heads on the warm-up hill. What a beautiful bird!
It was be really nice to have my co-lead, Carol, back next week. I've missed her! ~ Joyce
