Well the third time was truly the charm.  After having to cancel this hike twice for rain, we finally got a great weather day for our hike at Vineyard Mountain.  The hike included lots and lots of short but steep climbs and descents so we got our workout.  We got a view from an overlook above the Allatoona Dam and visited two old iron ore mines from when Vineyard Mountain was an active mining area in the 1800s.  All in all, a great way to kick off Thanksgiving week with a hike.  

One of our hikers today, Doug Haas, was on his 500th AOC event which is truly amazing.  We were blessed to be able to share this event with him.  ~ Holt
