Write Up:
It was good to be in the high country again! Our 15 hikers really enjoyed themselves Saturday. The Mountains offered us plenty of sunshine and amazing views. Especially the icicles which was a classic symbol of winter. This section of the Appalachian trail had plenty of rocks, roots and also the backside of Rocky Mountain! Well pleased with the recovery time of the rear at our stops. We kept a slow to moderate pace. Keep in mind hiking is not a sport but a personal enjoyment. The hike started on its proposed time and back to Unicoi Gap with a good return time. So much accomplished in one day even had time to rake the leaves at the house. Looking forward to Arkaquah on the 19th. We want to welcome Matt M and Trang M to the club. Thank you Ann H & Ralph H for your help on the trail.
